Obituary of Sue Ellen Gasper

We regretfully announce the passing of Sue Gasper, of Molalla, Oregon on September 12, 2021. Sue was surrounded by her family and passed away knowing she will be dancing in the streets of gold with the Spirit in the sky.

Sue was born on February 28, 1949 to Richard and Norma Surryhne in San Rafael, California. Her family moved around; living in Nevada, on a dairy farm in Lodi, and later in Sacramento.

Our mother, Sue, was one of the strongest women we knew in spite of having Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD). She took college courses, traveled, and strived to make public places easier for those in wheelchairs.

Sue crocheted many baby blankets through the years and was always listening to music. She was passionate about her family and researching her family genealogy. She was a dear friend to many. Our family was blessed to have her in our lives. We will miss her greatly.

She was predeceased by her parents. Sue is survived by husband, Sam; brother Steve; daughter Jenniffer, her husband Craig and their two children Brittni and Trever; daughter Anna, her husband Dave; step-daughter Rhonda and son TJ; step-son Brian, his wife Denae and their two children Allyssa and Jared.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 16 at 2:00pm at The Country Church in Molalla, Oregon
