Ruth Ellen (McCormick) Saxton passed away peacefully at her home in Aurora, Oregon on November 29, 2021. She was born in Silverton, Oregon on November 29th, 1947 to Hazel and Joseph McCormick and was the middle of three children. Ruth was preceded in death by her older brother Ron, her Mother Hazel, her Father Joe, and her Stepmother Ruby and is survived by her Husband Gary Saxton, her Daughter Laurie Rhoads and her husband Ken, her Daughter Kristi Ballinger and her husband Michael, five Grandchildren and four Great-Grandchildren.
Ruth worked for 32 years for the Canby School District. She was an amazing seamstress and an amazing Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She loved reading, gardening, and riding motorcycles but even more she loved her friends, her family and family time at the beach.
Ruth’s life story when told is truly a love story. The love she shared with Gary, her husband of 55 years, and with her family and friends was absolute and unconditional. Ruth was truly loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was an amazing lady. Go with the Angels. May the circle be unbroken.
