Obituary of Charlene Ann Prieve
Charlene Anne (McGee) Prieve, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at her home in Canby, comforted by her loving daughter, Kathleen.
Born in Altoona, PA in 1942, Charlene attended Altoona High School and Robert Morris College in Pittsburgh, PA. She married Robert "Bob" Walter Prieve, her husband of 54 years, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Altoona on October 19, 1963.
Known for her loving, gracious nature, Charlene spent the majority of her time as a dedicated and caring mother to her five children. She enjoyed dancing, music, gardening (particularly her beautiful roses), and to the great delight of family and friends, had a passion for cooking. Charlene also worked as a secretary and office manager at St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church in Aurora, for 30 years, retiring in 2016. A devout Roman Catholic, Charlene was a member of St. Patrick's Parish in Canby for 45 years.
Charlene was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Walter Prieve in 2017, and brother W. Robert "Bob" Stamm in 2016.
Charlene is survived by her five children, Pamela Schultz, (Stephen), Springville, UT, Patrick (Wendy), Bend, OR, Timothy (Nevis), Mason, OH, Thomas (Denise), El Paso, TX, Kathleen, Canby, OR, her twelve grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and brother Tom McGee (Dotti), Mechanicsburg, PA.
Funeral Mass followed by a reception will be held Thursday, January 13th at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Canby, OR at 11:00 AM. Internment St. Patrick's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to The Canby Center, 681 SW 2nd Ave., Canby, OR 97013 appreciated. 503-266-2920
