Obituary of Susan Ann Freece
Susan A. Freece, age 74, of Milwaukie, Oregon, peacefully passed away November 28th, after a five plus year battle with symptoms associated with Corticobasal Degeneration Syndrome. She was surrounded by family and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Susan was born July 22, 1948 in Longview, Washington to Wilbur and Lorraine Traglio. Later she and her family moved to Aurora, Oregon where she graduated high school. After graduation she obtained her beautician cosmetology license.
In the fall of 1968, Susan married her beloved husband Robert A. Freece, going on to have three daughters, several kitty cats and a handful of precious pups. In addition to a career as a beautician, she went on to work in a variety of other settings most recently in the accounting field before retiring in 2016. She was incredibly hard working, reliable and always willing to learn new things.
Susan will be remembered by many for her gift of hospitality and artisanship. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed creating one of a kind pieces with her hands. She enjoyed decorating her home and sharing her handcrafted gifts with others. These lovely treasures will now become cherished memories for years to come.
Susan is survived by her husband Robert, her daughters Kristin Summers, Kori Freece and Lorrie Hegar and their spouses. She is also survived by her beautiful grandchildren, Mason and Ben Green, Ashlyn and Emily Hegar and her siblings, Jane Traglio, Kay Stacie and Doug Traglio, as well as many other cherished extended family members living across the miles.
A memorial service will be held Friday, December 9th at 2pm at the Canby Funeral Chapel with a viewing on Thursday, December 8th from 4-7pm. Additional information can be found on their website, canbymolallafuneralchapel.com.
