Obituary of Sharon Faye Plummer
Sharon Faye Plummer, age 69, went to be with Jesus on Monday, July 17th, 2023. Sharon had been living with her daughter and family in Aurora, Oregon. She will be greatly missed by many.
Sharon was born in Oregon City in 1954 and grew up in Canby. She graduated with honors from Canby High School in 1972. She spent some time in Kansas attending an airline school followed by a few years living in California. She later returned to Oregon where she worked as a secretary, in human resources and as a payroll specialist. Her last job was as a cashier at Michael’s where she spent more than she made! She was a very talented artist who loved painting, drawing, making jewelry, crafts and gifts for people.
Her joys in life included playing ping pong, swimming, and dancing. She sang in the church choir, loved gardening and going to the beach. At home, she loved playing games, doing puzzles and watching TV. She cherished time spent with her friends and family. The most important thing in her life was her relationship with our Lord. She was always smiling and positive, bringing the light of Jesus with her wherever she went. Her bright and festive wardrobe matched her personality. She had a great sense of humor and loved to have a good time. Sharon never went to bed without saying her prayers.
Sharon had a passion for animals and had a variety of pets over the years including cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, fish, sugar gliders and a ferret! Her favorite animal was the turtle and she had quite the collection of turtle items. She was always sure to hang a hummingbird feeder outside her window, as she believed these little creatures brought her good luck. She was also especially fond of the squirrel in her backyard who she befriended, named Rocky, and got to eat peanuts out of her hand. Her grandkids thought that was fun, too.
Sharon is survived by her daughter Angela Niggli (husband Josh); her grandchildren Ryder, Zane, Maverick and Taya; her brother Rick Plummer (wife Wanda), and nephew Chad Plummer (wife Holli). She was preceded in death by her parents, June and Dale Plummer.
A Celebration of Life for friends and family will be held on August 12th at 2pm at the family’s home.
