Obituary of Joseph Patrick Ballas

Joseph "Joe" Patrick Ballas, 78, of Canby, Oregon, passed away on April 23, 2023. Joe was born on January 16, 1945, in Portland, Oregon. He graduated from Jesuit High School and later earned a business degree from the University of Oregon.

Joe began his career at Safeway, where he worked as an Industrial Engineer. Later, he joined PGE as a Competitive Intelligence Analyst and Manager, where he worked for many years. Joe was a man of great integrity who believed in "being the best you can be" and "always doing the right thing". He was loved by many.

Joe was a man of many talents and loved entertaining. He enjoyed cooking, antiquing, fishing, and writing. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who made his family the center of his life. Joe will be remembered for his wonderful personality and loving nature.

Joe is survived by his wife, Geraldine, daughters Jen and Erica, and sons Bob and Casey, along with his granddaughters, Morgan, Cailyn, Kenley, and Riley.

Services for Joe will be held in the near future. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Boys Town or Pet Rescue in his honor.
